From FLORENCE
After leaving Florence Airport, follow the signs to the A1, Firenze Nord junction, southbound (signs to Rome). Carry on until the Firenze Certosa exit, where you will leave the motorway. On the right immediately after the toll booths take the Superstrada to Siena, carry on until the Poggibonsi Nord exit. Follow the signs to Castellina in Chianti - road 429. After about 12 km. You will find a restaurant on your left (“Pestello”). After about 800 metres you will notice a sign on the right saying “Azienda Agricola Le Fioraie” and “Piemaggio. Take the turning into the parking space and proceed downhill down the dirt road for about 1 km, following the signs to Piemaggio, the main farmhouse, where there will be someone to greet you and accompany you to your flat.
From MILAN or BOLOGNA
Take the A1 (“Autostrada del Sole”) from Milan (or Bologna) southbound to Rome. Carry on until the Firenze Certosa exit, where you will leave the motorway. From ROME
Take A1 (“Autostrada del Sole”) northbound to Florence, leave it at the Valdichiana exit, follow the route to Siena. A few kilometres before Siena, get the “tangenziale” (ring road) to the Superstrada Siena-Firenze, direction Firenze, leave it at the Poggibonsi exit, take road 429 to Castellina in Chianti, after about 12 km. you will see a restaurant to the left (“Pestello”), after 800 metres , to the right, you will see a sign indicating “Azienda Agricola Le Fioraie” and “Piemaggio”. There are two bars, lifted, and a parking place. Proceed downhill for about one km. of dirt road , following indications for Piemaggio, the main farmhouse., where there will be someone to greet you and accompany you to the house.
From Venice
Take A 4 to Padova, then A 13 to Bologna, at Bologna take A 1, direction Roma-Napoli. Leave it at the Firenze Certosa exit, on the right immediately after the exit take the Superstrada for Siena, leave it at the Poggibonsi North exit (direction Poggibonsi), without getting into the town get road 429 to Castellina in Chianti, after about 12 km. etc. etc. (see above, direction From Florence).
